Obama Accepts Congratulation’s from around the world

Around the world on Wednesday and late Tuesday sent their congrats to President-Elect Obama, and today he accepts those congratulation’s.

And Obama spokesmen announced that President-Elect Obama has returned calls to and spoken with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, Mexican President Felipe Calderon, South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, according to FoxNews.com.

Specifically, with Aussie Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Obama and him spoke about several key world  topics like national security and the global finical crisis. In the end, Rudd said, “”It was a good conversation, it was a friendly conversation,…The challenges we face are great….But I believe we have a strong partner in the U.S.”

I think this is just standard stuff for a President-Elect, but the words spoken by Rudd are reassureing to say the least.
